Plumpy’Nut® has revolutionised the treatment of severe acute malnutrition. It has made it possible to provide treatment at home, thereby considerably increasing the number of malnourished children treated, while improving adherence to treatment and the recovery rate.
However, due to the vulnerable condition of severely malnourished children, a medical prescription is required and regular medical check-ups must be carried out.

Plumpy’Nut® is also suitable for adults suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
Plumpy’Nut® can also be used to treat moderate acute malnutrition in accordance with the national protocol for the management of acute malnutrition in children.
Does not replace a varied and nutritious diet or breastfeeding. Breastfeeding immediately after birth, exclusively for the first 6 months, is recommended for at least 24 months.
