F-75 therapeutic milk has been specially designed to stabilise patients during the initial phase of treatment for severe acute malnutrition, known as phase 1 in the management protocol established by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
In phase 2, the nutritional recovery phase, F-100 therapeutic milk or a ready-to-use nutritional equivalent such as Plumpy’Nut® is used, depending on the child’s state of health.
It should be used in health centres with medical supervision.
Breastfeeding immediately after birth, exclusively for the first 6 months, is recommended for at least 24 months.
